MPlayerGUI depends on MPlayer, it can play MPEG, AVI, ASF/WMV, QuickTime/MOV, RealMedia RM/RMVB, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, WAV files with no need to install any codecs to your system. It's freeware, portable software.
You can treat MPlayer as the engine and MPlayerGUI as the shell.
